Head Start
Welcome to Puppy Head Start!
If you have a new puppy at home, welcome. You are in the right place.
Puppy Head Start is a private puppy training program designed for puppies during the early stages of development. The first few months are exciting, but they can also feel like a lot. Potty accidents, crate training, puppy biting, chewing, jumping, and nonstop energy can make it hard to know what to focus on first.
Puppies are learning all the time, even when we are not officially training. They are learning where to potty, how to use their mouth, what gets attention, how to handle the crate, and how to settle in the home. Puppy Head Start helps you build a strong foundation from the beginning. It is about creating structure, building a routine, preventing common puppy problems, and helping your puppy learn how to live in your home.
The goal is to help your puppy get off to a better start, help you feel more confident, and make everyday life with your puppy feel more manageable.

Is Puppy Head Start Right for You?
This program is a good fit if your puppy is 8 weeks to 4 months old and you want more than just “getting through” the puppy stage.
Maybe you want your puppy to grow into a dog who can walk with you, settle in the house, handle new places, greet people more politely, or be part of your everyday life without constant chaos.
Puppy Head Start may be a good fit if:
- You recently brought home a new puppy and want to start off with more structure
- You are already feeling overwhelmed by potty training, crate training, biting, chewing, or jumping
- You want help understanding what your puppy needs at this age
- You want your puppy to grow into a dog who can be part of your real life, not just behave during a training session
- You have future goals like walks, outings, guests, travel, family life, or public spaces
- You want private support instead of trying to figure everything out from videos, advice online, or a busy group class
- You want to build good habits early, before problem behaviors become part of everyday life
Puppy Head Start gives you a clear place to begin now, so the habits you build early can support the adult dog you are hoping to raise.
Where Learning Starts
The Private Puppy Program: Puppy Head Start introduces your puppy to the early routines, skills, and experiences they need for life with you.
At this age, we are not trying to rush puppies into adult-level obedience. The focus is on age-appropriate foundations that help your puppy pay attention, settle, follow simple guidance, and handle everyday situations with more confidence.
Depending on your puppy’s needs, we may work on engagement, structured play, early obedience skills, crate and potty routines, puppy biting, chewing, leash foundations, confidence building, and lifestyle exposure. We also look at what is happening at home between sessions. Routines, management, consistency, and your response to everyday puppy behavior all matter.
Each puppy is different, so the exact focus depends on your puppy, your home, and your goals. The goal is to build a foundation that makes life easier now and supports the adult dog you are hoping to raise.

How Puppy Head Start Works
Puppy Head Start is a 6-session private puppy training program that meets once a week. Each session is about 1 hour long.
This is a one-on-one program built around your puppy, your home, and your goals. Each week builds from the previous week, so your puppy is not just learning random skills. We start with the foundation, then continue adding structure, routines, and age-appropriate learning based on your puppy’s progress.
Program includes:
- 6 private puppy training sessions
- Weekly sessions
- 1-hour sessions
- One-on-one coaching
- A plan built around your puppy, home, and goals
- Weekly check-ins on puppy topics like potty training, crate training, mouthing, chewing, settling, and routine building
- Homework each week, so you know what to practice between sessions
- A training log to help track progress, notice patterns, and stay more consistent
