A Better Kind of Day for Your Dog

Coach Wags’ Day Camp in Edgerton, WI, offers 3-hour Training Camp and Enrichment Camp sessions designed around your dog’s individual needs.

Day Camp is offered one dog at a time, so each dog gets a calm, focused, and personal experience. Two dogs from the same household may attend together if they are a good fit for the same session.

This is not a busy group daycare setting. Each session gives your dog a thoughtful mix of training, enrichment, movement, play, and calm time based on the camp option selected.

Your dog does not have to be “bad” or out of control to benefit from Day Camp. Plenty of good dogs need more during the week than the same routine, a quick walk, or time alone at home.

For some owners, Day Camp gives their dog a better experience while they work, run errands, or manage a busy schedule. For others, it adds more structure and purpose to their dog’s week without relying on a crowded group environment.

Why Day Camp Matters

A lot of dogs need more than a quick walk, yard time, or a few toys left out while the day gets busy. Those things can help, but they do not always give dogs enough meaningful activity for their body and brain.

Without healthy outlets, some dogs become restless, bored, or overly wound up. Others spend too much of their day waiting for something interesting to happen. That does not mean they are difficult dogs. It often means their routine could use more purpose and better balance.

At the same time, more activity is not always better. Dogs also need chances to slow down, settle, and reset between more active moments.

That is why Day Camp is built as a 3-hour session. It gives your dog time to settle in, participate in meaningful activities, take breaks, and work at a pace that makes sense for them.

Day Camp gives dogs purposeful activity, mental engagement, and time to decompress, so the session has real value instead of just passing the time.

Day Camp Options

Coach Wags Day Camp is offered in two ways: Training Camp and Enrichment Camp. Both options provide 3 hours of one-on-one time with Todd, but each has a different primary focus.

Training Camp

Training Camp is the more training-focused Day Camp option. It combines short training activities, enrichment, and decompression to give dogs a structured and productive 3-hour session.

Depending on the session selected, it may support basic skill-building, mental engagement, manners practice, leash skills, recall, settling, or practice connected to current training goals.

Enrichment Camp

The Enrichment Camp focuses on healthy physical and mental outlets rather than formal training goals. Sessions may include movement, sniffing, searching, problem-solving, play, and decompression. Todd chooses activities around what the dog enjoys and what fits them best.

Enrichment Camp is still structured and purposeful, but it is a better fit for dogs who need a healthy outlet more than a training-focused session.

Is Day Camp Right for Your Dog?

Day Camp may be a good fit for dogs who would benefit from a more purposeful way to spend part of their day. Some dogs need more than a quick walk, yard time, or the same routine every day.

It can work well for dogs who enjoy activity, need more mental engagement, or do better with a calmer, more focused experience than a busy group setting.

Because each session is 3 hours, Day Camp gives your dog more time than a quick visit while still keeping the experience shorter and more focused than a full day of daycare.

Day Camp may be a good fit for:

  • Dogs who need more to do during the day than a quick walk or yard time
  • Dogs who enjoy movement, exploration, training, or enrichment activities
  • Dogs who benefit from variety in their routine
  • Dogs who need additional mental or physical outlets during a busy week
  • Owners who want a purposeful session built around their dog
  • Dogs who may do better with a focused 3-hour session than a long day in a busier setting
  • Dogs who do better with one-on-one attention instead of a crowded group environment

Some dogs may fit best in Training Camp, while others may be better suited for Enrichment Camp. The individual camp pages explain those options in more detail.
