Welcome to Good Manners
Welcome to Good Manners. If your adult dog needs better structure, clearer expectations, and more consistent behavior, you are in the right place.
A lot of adult dogs are not bad dogs. They are dogs that never had a clear foundation, enough consistency, or enough practice with everyday life skills when habits were forming. Over time, those small gaps can turn into bigger frustrations at home, on walks, or around guests. That can show up as pulling on leash, jumping on people, barking, ignoring cues, struggling to settle, poor recall, or doing their own thing when it matters most.
Good Manners is a private training program designed to help adult dogs get back to the basics. This is not just about teaching a few commands. It is about building better habits, improving communication, creating more structure, and helping your dog become easier to guide in everyday life.

Where Learning Starts
Good Manners focuses on the foundation skills that help adult dogs become easier to live with, easier to guide, and more connected to their owner.
At this stage, we are not just teaching commands for the sake of obedience. The goal is to help your dog build better habits, understand what is expected, follow through more consistently, and respond better at home and on walks. Depending on your dog’s needs, we may work on core obedience, leash manners, recall, polite greetings, impulse control, settling, engagement, and everyday life skills.
We also look at what is happening between sessions. Structure, routine, consistency, and the way habits are reinforced all play a big role in long-term progress. Every dog is different, so the exact focus depends on your dog, your home, and your goals. The goal is to build a stronger foundation that makes everyday life more manageable for both you and your dog.

How Good Manners Works
Good Manners is a 6-session private training program for adult dogs. Sessions meet once a week and are about 1 hour long.
This is a one-on-one program built around your dog, your home, and the habits you want to improve. Each week builds from the previous week, so your dog is not just learning random skills. We start with the basics, then continue building manners, leash skills, recall, impulse control, and better follow-through based on your dog’s progress.
A big part of this program is helping you understand how to support the training between sessions. Dogs need consistency, but owners also need a clear plan that feels realistic to follow.
Program includes:
- 6 private dog training sessions
- Weekly sessions
- 1-hour sessions
- One-on-one coaching
- A plan built around your dog, home, and goals
- Weekly check-ins on pulling, jumping, barking, recall, manners, and everyday behavior
- Homework each week, so you know what to practice between sessions
- A training log to help track progress, notice patterns, and stay consistent
