About

Hey, I’m Todd

I’m a Madison, Wisconsin, native and lifelong dog nut, and the founder of Coach Wags Dog Training. My mission is simple: to create deeper connections between dogs and their people by helping every dog find more reasons to wag their tail.

I specialize in positive reinforcement dog training and behavior modification. I tailor my approach to each dog’s personality and each guardian’s goals, combining proven training techniques with enrichment exercises. This ensures that dogs not only learn essential obedience skills but also thrive in socialization and live harmoniously with their families.

I offer personalized one-on-one training sessions, along with at-home strategies to reinforce lessons and build confidence for both dogs and their guardians. From individualized behavior modification plans to engaging mental and physical enrichment activities, my approach is designed to create lasting results and more tail wags.

I owe a special thank you to my own dogs, Shania, Pepe, Rogan, Yukon, Lumber, Denali, and Rueger for teaching me so much about patience, communication, and joy. Flexible, compassionate, and results-driven, I’m committed to helping every dog and guardian thrive.
